People
José Arocha, an innovator and entrepreneur from Venezuela, and Thomas Goddard, a leading, digital media expert in Silicon Valley, decided to join their talents to materialize a shared vision called TAVOS Media Network.

José Arocha Co-founder, Chief Operating Officer (COO)
José Arocha is a social, hi-tech entrepreneur from Venezuela and a research fellow of the Reuters Digital Vision program at Stanford University. Raised in a family of entrepreneurs and leaders devoted to public service, José has a deep interest in the use of technology and media to accelerate social and economic progress in Latin America.
During the last two years at Stanford University, José has been researching and conceptualizing TAVOS and working on open-source, social media projects to promote health, prosperity and dignity for youth and underserved communities in Latin America and around the world. Between 1996 and 2003, José worked as an international consultant in semantic search, knowledge mining, technological intelligence, e-learning and knowledge-based technology innovation and creativity for leading corporations in Japan, USA and Latin America.
José was a Google research fellow at Stanford University in 2004-05 and holds advanced engineering degrees from M.I.T. and Universidad Simon Bolivar, Venezuela.

Thomas Goddard Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Thomas started early developing technologies for MTV, Capitol Records and other important brands in the media industry. In his most recent project as a software engineer and solutions architect for Fluid, Inc. and consultant for Microsoft, he pioneered the first Windows Vista Kiosk application, utilizing the newly created Windows Presentation Foundation.
His other projects include media solutions for Starbucks, HP, and Microsoft. He was one of the lead solution architects for the Starbucks Hear Music Media Bar, a flagship product for the Starbuck's Entertainment division. Today, his work serves as an intrinsic piece of the Hewlett-Packard Media Solutions offered to high-profile markets around the world.
He is also an active contributor to the open source community with media solutions. He developed and open-sourced the first Maya-to-XAML converter in 2006 to allow 3D animators and artists to make their media creations interactive. This innovation received honorable mention in the Microsoft XAML converter contest. Thomas has also released the first open-source, interoperability layer between C++ and .NET for P2P content distribution. This solution will help different media outlets, such as television studios, radio stations, kiosks, film production studios, and professional desktop users to exchange media.
His work has been mentioned in various publications and the Microsoft Developer Network. Thomas has been recognized with the Microsoft Customer Excellence Award for his contributions to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. He is also a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
